            Located in a restored 1908 heritage building, the Herbert CPR Train Station Museum features railway artifacts and a model railway system. Onsite displays include a settler's cottage, a rural school, and vintage railway vehicles like a snowplow, caboose, and boxcar. Visitors can enjoy tours, "Faspa" (a traditional Mennonite afternoon lunch), souvenirs, history books, and tourist information. Stop by to stretch your legs and take a tour of the museum. Enjoy their breakfast or lunch specials (supper on Mondays). The coffee is always on, and Patti’s fresh daily pies, delicious with ice cream, are not to be missed. Come for the history, stay for the tall tales.

            ​​Owned and operated for over 38 years by Max and Hedi Gossweiler, the Lone Eagle Motel and Campground features 12 clean, modern rooms with fridge, microwave, wireless internet, air conditioning and 27-in. TV with cable hook-up. Laundromat is on site. The motel area is nicely landscaped with bistro tables, chairs and picnic tables for guests' use. Adjacent to this Herbert motel is a clean and quiet campground offering full-service sites with 20 or 30 amp service, playground and laundry facility. Pets must be leashed. Alpaca Gift Shop with locally made alpaca products at the motel.
