Provincial Parks are often associated with camping, but did you know many of Saskatchewan’s provincial parks have lodging options as well?

While this area of the province boasts some of the most varied landscape, it is often overlooked by tourists and locals alike. But it shouldn’t be. 

It is an outdoor playground for those seeking a relaxing getaway or rugged northern adventure. 

The southwest corner of Saskatchewan is full of surprises. Beautiful landscapes abound, from the rolling hills of Grasslands National Park to the tall lodgepole pine forests of Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park.

West central Saskatchewan is buzzing with positive vibes, fantastic food, rich history and eye-opening hidden gems.

With phenomenal birdlife and easy access to several wildlife hotspots, there’s no better place than Saskatchewan to enjoy these springtime spectacles. 

The Porcupine Pine Hills Provincial Park is the perfect place to unplug and reconnect with nature. You’ll want to tell all your friends, but you’ll just have to wait until you get back into cell coverage.

It’s vacation time. You’ve spent weeks prepping and packing, drawing up meal plans and ensuring everything is taken care of for your relaxing camping getaway with the family. You’ve plotted roadside stops and are proud how prepared you’ll be for your time away. There’s only one challenge standing in your way. Your children - more specifically, your teenage children.

Recently while visiting Buffalo Pound Provincial Park for a few days of camping with my family, I challenged myself to look down instead of looking up, while getting in some outdoor exercise.
