    Burrow into a one-of-a-kind Saskatchewan backcountry birding experience! Join an expert team for a unique birding experience in Saskatchewan's Grasslands National Park - West Block! Guided by park staff, you and eleven others will visit a remote prairie dog colony to observe Burrowing Owls raising their young. The 10 km round-trip hike offers opportunities to learn about grassland habitats and spot other birds. Highlights include meeting a national park biologist, participating in owl observation, and learning about the owls' survival challenges. Choose from two available dates on July 18 or 19 and meet at the Frenchman Valley Campground, West Block, at 5 a.m. for a 4-5 hour tour. Space is limited. Ages 12 and up. Pre-registration is required by calling the visitor centre at 1-877-345-2257. Registration opens January 27, 2025.

    Spend a day uncovering the secrets of ancient dinosaurs during Fossil Fever at Grasslands National Park's - East Block, beginning at Rock Creek Campground. The Badlands were the site of one of the first discoveries of dinosaur fossils in Canada, and scientists today continue to unlock the mystery of a time when prehistoric creatures wandered the jungle on what is now the Canadian Prairie. As part of the five-day Fossil Fever event August 12 to 16, small groups get a hands-on lesson as they accompany a crew of paleontologists from the Royal Saskatchewan Museum on a day’s dig. Wild scenery, lunch in the badlands and five hours of finding hidden gems such as fossils are all included in your Fossil Fever registration. Spend the evening with the paleontologists during Fossil Talks as they share their adventures. Space is limited. Ages 6 and up. Pre-registration is required by calling the Visitor Centre at 1-877-345-2257. Registration opens January 27, 2025.

    The tours begin in Saskatoon but can also be joined at Swift Current or Maple Creek. Package price includes guiding services for each group of 1-4 persons travelling in a single vehicle.​

You’ll draw from your dream world, acknowledge surfacing archetypes and navigate your inner landscapes within a safe, free, and richly creative nest. No painting experience necessary. 
    The $485 registration fee is per person and includes two nights accommodations at Sky Story, a supper on Saturday, participation in the  guided workshops and all necessary materials. This package is also available without Sky Story accommodations for $325/person. All prior retreat attendees receive a 10% discount. The retreat starts Friday at 6 p.m. and ends Sunday at 4:00 p.m.​​​​​
