Made of concrete, the Wooly Mammoth Replica​ was erected in 1981. Skeleton remains of the mammoth were found in 1964, 5 km west of Kyle. Castings of the bones are displayed at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum in Regina. Copies of the castings are displayed at the Kyle & District Museum.
