A provincial heritage site, the 1906 Arcola Town Hall is now the home of Buddy's Pub. This "High House" is one of the last three remaining opera houses in Saskatchewan. The building features restored local brick and woodwork, vaulted tin ceilings and a corner bell tower. Originally the town office, council chambers, fire hall and opera house, it now houses a restaurant and pub. The walls are adorned with historical photos of Arcola's past. The mezzanine overlooks the main bar, one of the longest bars in Western Canada with impressive woodwork. Bus tours are encouraged to add this stop to their itinerary.
Buddy's In the High House offers a place to meet friends in an intriguing historical atmosphere, enjoy the free pool table, specialty drinks and great food. A variety of items on the menu include chicken burgers, boneless ribs, AAA steak, homemade fries, the famous Buddy Burger, kids' menu and more.
