​The Wallace Stegner House was the childhood home of Wallace Stegner (1909-1993), a Pulitzer Prize-winning author and leading environmentalist. Restored in 1989 by the Eastend​ Arts Council, the house is now a residence for visiting artists and writers. Since then, it has hosted more than 250 artists and writers from around the world.
