Spans a portion of Hwy 44, 20 km W of Loreburn or 20 km E of Macrorie. 100 km S of Saskatoon via Hwy 219.

Drive across Gardiner Dam, the largest earth filled dam in Canada. The Gardiner Dam Interpretive Centre, situated in Danielson Provincial Park, is approximately 1 km south of the dam on Hwy 44. It features visual interpretive displays on the dam, souvenirs, tourist information, food service and a not-to-be missed vintage film on the construction of the dam. Public beach, picnic facilities and camping are located at nearby Danielson and Douglas Provincial Park. Please be advised that wood fires are not allowed at the Gardiner Dam Visitor Centre. Only charcoal briquettes are permitted in the barbecues.  ​ The grounds of the Coteau Creek Generating Station just below Gardiner Dam offer a great vantage point for spotting pelicans and Canada geese. Gardiner Dam is also a starting point for the Chief Whitecap Waterway Trans Canada Trail​ Canoe Route.​
