    The award-winning Wheatland Express is Western Canada's premier excursion and event passenger train serving east-central Saskatchewan. It operates on a heritage railway in Cudworth and Wakaw​, a mere hour from Saskatoon and Prince Albert and three hours from Regina. The Wheatland Express delivers railway excursions through the prairies with interactive characters, musical entertainment, and culinary elements that showcase the province's rich arts, culture, and heritage from June through December each year. Wheatland Express has a wheelchair-accessible car for passengers with limited mobility. The Bistro on Board offers snacks and a variety of lunch boxes. The train is a one-of-a-kind experience or venue for large and small gatherings, corporate events, staff retreats, and family functions, or schedule a private charter anytime.

    This Christmas, come aboard the Wheatland Express departing from Wakaw and immerse yourself in the magic of the holiday season with their enchanting Magical Christmas Express Excursion! Don't forget to bring your letters to Santa Claus. The special visitors onboard this 2.5 hour journey are ready to whisk your heartfelt wishes to the North Pole, ensuring they reach Santa's workshop in time for Christmas Eve. Be serenaded by talented carolers, filling the train with the melodies of your favorite holiday tunes. Santa's playful elves will also be aboard, spreading holiday joy and mischief throughout the journey. 
    Indulge in the festive spirit with a variety of delicious food (pre-order Bistro on Board food options at least 7 days prior to the event) and beverages available onboard. As the train gently chugs along through a winter wonderland, warm up with their delightful complimentary hot chocolate bar. Customize your perfect cup of cocoa with an array of toppings and enjoy the sweet taste of the season.
