Completed in 1912 and designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 2005, the Saskatchewan Legislative Building is a grand beaux-arts building designed to reflect the architecture of English Renaissance and Louis XVI of France. While visiting in Regina's Wascana Centre, stop in and view the building's beautiful Grand Staircase, Rotunda and Legislative Assembly Chamber during a 30-minute guided tour of the building's interior. The tours focus on the function, architecture and history of the building. They are available daily in English and French, on a first-come, first-served basis. Groups of 10 or more persons must pre-book online.
Stroll through the beautiful Queen Elizabeth II Gardens or do a self-guided walking tour and discover points of historical interest on the grounds near the Legislative Building.
