Take in the new summer cultural paradise on Saskatoon's banks of the South Saskatchewan River. The Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan Festival (SOTS) facilities were upgraded in 2020 with a new amphitheater, box office, tavern and a beautiful stone courtyard. Located along the Meewasin Trail, their newly renovated site is not only home to their productions, but also a great place to take in the beautiful views, wildlife and community spirit that Saskatoon has to offer!
The 2022 season will be significant for Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan as they celebrate and rejoice a return to live summer theatre and make history by presenting a new Canadian play in a full repertory season that runs from July 2 to August 21. Truly a season for everyone. The line-up includes Shakespeare’s Cymbeline, Vern Thiessen’s Shakespeare’s Will and Iago Speaks, a new play by Daniel Macdonald.
