Some highlights include King Hill Lookout, the Battlefords Goose Project and Finlayson Island - a popular hiking and cross-country skiing area with over 130 different trees, shrubs and wildflowers and an abundance of wildlife. The extended North Shore Trail offers 15 km of scenic hiking, skiing, mountain biking and an unforgettable panoramic view. The boat launch located on the south side of the river is available if water levels permit. The North Battleford Golf and Country Club, situated along the southern edge of the River Valley, has a spectacular view of the Saskatchewan River Valley and provides the backdrop for one of the most scenic and challenging golf courses in the province.
