The trails at Manitou & District Regional Park and within the Resort Village of Manitou Beach are perfect for walking, hiking and cross-country skiing. From the Manitou & District Regional Park's campground there are two trail loops (3.5 km and 5 km). Both options include beautiful Wellington Park with its scenic creek and picnic sites. The trails are well-groomed, feature gentle hills and coulees and are located within a well-treed area that helps protect visitors from the wind.
During your trip, you may encounter various animal and bird species - particularly white-tailed and mule deer, waterfowl and migratory birds - making it an ideal place for birdwatchers and nature lovers to enjoy. Portions of the trail within the resort village pass by attractions and shops. A gravelled pathway along Lake Ave and MacLachlan Ave provides scenic lakeviews.
Five minutes away from the Town of Watrous, the Village of Manitou Beach offers an abundance of attractions and amenities to visitors, including the Manitou Springs Resort and Mineral Spa, Danceland, Camp Easter Seal, a golf, mini-golf course, and disc golf, a beach, playgrounds, boat launch, outdoor skating pond, crokicurl, picnic tables, baseball diamond, panoramic views, various accommodations, shops, art galleries, restaurants and convenience store.
