The Morse Museum & Cultural Centre can be found along the Trans Canada Hwy 1 in the community of Morse. The large brick building was originally built in 1912 as a four-room school house with an additional two rooms added in 1928. The building operated as a school until 1980. In 1987, the building was reopened to the public as a museum. Today it houses over 14,000 artifacts preserving and sharing the history of the community as well as the pioneering era of the Canadian prairies. Some of the exhibits include a replica 1912 classroom, the original town jail, and our homestead room showcasing life on the prairies for the first homesteaders.

The museum is also home of the Reed Lake Interpretive Centre, offering information about the nearby ‘Important Bird Area’ of Reed Lake and Country Cupboard Gift Shop selling one-of-a-kind Saskatchewan creations as well as souvenirs and preserves. For all the latest updates and events follow the Morse Museum on Facebook and Instagram.
