Travel Offers
Grasslands National Park | Fossil Fever
Aug 12, 2025 to Aug 16, 2025
STARTING AT: $109
Spend a day uncovering the secrets of ancient dinosaurs during Fossil Fever at Grasslands National Park's - East Block, beginning at Rock Creek Campground. The Badlands were the site of one of the first discoveries of dinosaur fossils in Canada, and scientists today continue to unlock the mystery of a time when prehistoric creatures wandered the jungle on what is now the Canadian Prairie. As part of the five-day Fossil Fever event August 12 to 16, small groups get a hands-on lesson as they accompany a crew of paleontologists from the Royal Saskatchewan Museum on a day’s dig. Wild scenery, lunch in the badlands and five hours of finding hidden gems such as fossils are all included in your Fossil Fever registration. Spend the evening with the paleontologists during Fossil Talks as they share their adventures. Space is limited. Ages 6 and up. Pre-registration is required by calling the Visitor Centre at 1-877-345-2257. Registration opens January 27, 2025.
