S.W. Sask. OldTimers' Museum & Archive, located in Maple Creek, includes Saskatchewan's oldest purpose-built museum. Spread over three buildings on Jasper Street, the museum commemorates the 1870-1918 period of the Cypress Hills area. Featured is a unique collection of artifacts and photographs associated with the North West Mounted Police (NWMP), Indigenous people, open range ranching and early settlement history. The reconstructed 1935 Log Museum at 218 Jasper Street houses First Nations, Metis and early settlement content plus the gift shop. The C.M. Glascock Building at 222 Jasper Street, an automobile dealership building (1909-2009), houses larger collection items, an art gallery and venue space in the “Show Room.” The museum operates full time during the tourism season and is open year-round for facility rentals and private individual or group tours.
Open May long weekend to Labour Day.
