While in the community, visit the River Ridge Golf Course, a scenic course overlooking the South Saskatchewan River, for a round of golf; cool off at the modern junior Olympic swimming pool with racer waterslide or check out the local attractions including the Leader Wildlife Sculptures, the Millennium Gardens and Checkerboard Hill.​ Shop local vendors for at Market Day in Leader every Thursday (11 a.m. - 3 p.m.) from June to September. The community and surrounding area are is also located along the migratory bird flyway and is a favorite among birdwatchers.
