The small hamlet of Claybank is located on Hwy 339, approximately 16 km west of Avonlea. Situated at the foot of the Dirt Hills, the community takes its name from the rich clay deposits found in the area. The community is home to the Claybank Brick Plant National Historic Site, a splendid example of early 20th century industrialism. Tour the site and learn about brick making from clay to kiln, or come for the annual Heritage Days held at the end of June.
