The town of LeRoy is located just off Hwy 6, northwest of the two Quill Lakes. The community was named in honour of a WWI soldier, John LeRoy, who lost his life during the war.
LeRoy has paved access to Highways 5, 6 and 16. Town amenities include reverse osmosis water, a grocery store, two full-service gas stations, two restaurants, full-service Credit Union with ATM, flooring store, insurance agency, hotel and bar, accommodations, a daycare and many other businesses.
Recreational opportunities are available within the town of LeRoy and at nearby LeRoy Leisureland Regional Park. The park offers golfing at The Creek Golf Course, with large rolling grass greens and irrigated fairways, swimming in the newly upgraded outdoor pool with sand beach, beach volleyball and horseshoe pits. Recreational activities in the town include skating, hockey, curling, minor ball, bowling, a school of dance and many service clubs suited for any interest.
In 2016, the new, state-of-the-art LeRoy Community Centre was built with a regulation-size ice surface, walking track, heated spectator area, a second level mezzanine viewing area and space for meetings, weddings and/or activity rentals.
