The community of Yellow Grass, located in the southeast corner of the province, was named after the Yellow Grass Marsh a few kilometres west of the townsite. The community offers a small core of essential businesses and services, a local skating rink and bowling alley, and easy access to nearby city amenities, attractions and facilities.
