Located along the banks of the South Saskatchewan River, the community of Outlook has many ways to promote a healthy lifestyle. During the summer months, the Outlook & District Regional Park is the hub of all activities. The park, canopied by 800-year-old American elm trees, features 50 electric campsites, walking and hiking trails with the best view of the river and is home to the Riverview Golf Club, a nine-hole golf course. The town boasts the Van Raay & Community Swimming Pool, an outdoor pool facility opened in the summer of 2019. Located behind the Jim Kook Recreation Complex, the facility has a 25-metre lane swim pool, zero-depth entry, toddler paddling pool, two waterslides and a lazy river. It offers parent and tot swims, lane swims, aqua-size classes, swimming lessons and public swim. There are lots of canoe and kayak opportunities as well around Outlook. The Kinsmen Park is located behind the Town Hall Complex. It has a playground, splash park and during the summer months offers a summer program for school-aged children. The community also has five ball diamonds and its own walking trails.
In the winter months, the Jim Kook RecPlex is always busy with something. Whether it's hockey, figure skating, curling, gymnastics, bowling or archery, it's all in one place! Just outside of the RecPlex is a full-size outdoor rink known as the CO-OP Community Rink.
