Spanning over 1,600 sq. km and featuring more than 20 lakes, rivers and streams, Meadow Lake Provincial Park is one of the largest provincial parks in Canada. A favorite destination for many vacationers and adventurers, it offers excellent fishing and water-based opportunities with some of the best beaches in Saskatchewan. The Boreal Trail, one of the premier hiking destinations in Canada, is a park gem with day-hike and multi-day hike options. Seek out the area's wildlife and vegetation by venturing out on one of the park's other well-groomed hiking trails, or enjoy some relaxation by frequenting one of its many picnic areas. Featuring twelve campgrounds with over 800 campsites, the park offers a new experience each visit. For that perfect getaway with minimal effort and preparation, two Camp-Easy sites are available for booking, and numerous summer and year-round cabin accommodations are also available.

​ Celebrate National Trails Day by exploring the beauty of Meadow Lake Provincial Park, Saskatchewan’s premier backcountry hiking destination. Start the day with an educational session led by trail experts, Park Interpreters, and Conservation Officers, who’ll share tips and fascinating facts about the Boreal Trail. Then, join a guided interpretive hike to learn backcountry skills and discover the park's unique flora and fauna. The adventure concludes with a debrief at the trailhead. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., suitable for ages 12 and over. Free with a valid Park Entry Permit. Pre-registration required.
