Situated in the legendary Qu'Appelle Valley between Echo and Pasqua Lakes, Echo Valley Provincial Park offers scenic surroundings and numerous recreational opportunities. With two beaches and access to two lakes, this park is a great destination for the fishing and water enthusiast. Lush lawns, playground, change rooms and barbecues make the beach area a great place to spend your summer days. Interpretive programming and a three-kilometre nature trail allow visitors to explore and learn more about this beautiful area. For that perfect getaway with minimal effort and preparation, three Camp-Easy sites are available for booking.

Echo Valley Provincial Park

Visit Echo Valley Provincial Park on December 26 for the official launch of Skate the Park! Skate between the trees under sparkling lights on this 900-metre ice skating loop that winds through Aspen Campground. A nearby tipi warming shelter provides a place to rest and warm up between laps. Adaptive kicksleds will be available free of charge for people with limited mobility or who need a little help to balance, ensuring that everyone can enjoy this skating loop. In addition to the skating loop, enjoy a variety of activities for the entire family on Skate the Park Opening Day:

  • Ninja Warrior Course - Let the kids challenge themselves on a slack line with obstacles and a bouldering climbing wall located near the Visitor Centre.
  • Wood Burning Barrel Sauna - Relax in the steaming sauna by Back2Nature Wellness.
  • Zipline - Experience this fun for all ages thrill near the Visitor Centre.
  • Food & Drinks - Treat yourself to a delicious menu of snacks and beverages for purchase from CJ's Bakery, in partnership with Echo Ridge Golf Course.
  • Twinkle Trail - Beginning from the Visitor Centre parking lot, this enchanting trail features 500 feet of overhead twinkling lights.
  • Trails - Discover various hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country ski trails throughout the park. Start at the Visitor Centre for trail information.
  • Campfires - Gather around a campfire while listening to music outside the Visitor Centre.

Event time 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. This event is free with a valid Park Entry Permit, including a valid 2024 Annual Park Entry Permit. Park Entry Permits can be purchased at the Visitor Reception Centre. Daily Park Entry Permits can also be purchased and printed online at https://parks.saskatchewan.ca. Make unforgettable memories this holiday season at Echo Valley Provincial Park. Skate the Park is open every day until February 28, weather permitting.

Glow into the new year at Echo Valley Provincial Park with a day filled with retro music and neon lights! Dust off your retro winter gear and be the brightest in the park while participating in Skate the Park winding through Aspen Campground. Warm up in the nearby tipi shelter decked out with black lights, take a picture with the neon selfie frame, and play a game of glow crokicurl! Dance to '70s, '80s, and '90s disco music playing around the visitor centre and tipi, then head into the visitor centre to grab hot snacks and drinks at the concession.

Event time is 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. This event is free with a valid Park Entry Permit, including a valid 2024 Annual Park Entry Permit. Park Entry Permits can be purchased at the Visitor Reception Centre upon arrival. Daily Park Entry Permits can also be purchased and printed online at https://parks.saskatchewan.ca.
