Rafferty Reservoir is a dam project on the Souris River that was completed in 1994 to help eliminate flooding of the Souris River. Roughly 35-meters at the deepest point, 56-km long and 1-km wide, it is located between the cities of Weyburn and Estevan in southern Saskatchewan. The reservoir is home to a fantastic population of walleye, northern pike and perch of all sizes including trophy-sized fish of all three species.

Prairie Pro Outfitters is offering on the water instruction for beginning to experienced anglers of any age. In this 8-hour course you will learn a variety of skills including fish filleting, boat handling, electronics, safety, different fish species angling techniques, tackle and gear, knot tying and successful shore fishing methods. The instructor will share his knowledge of fly fishing for multiple species including pike, trout salmon, bass and saltwater species including bonefish, from casting lines to lure selection. Instruction is available for individuals and small groups. Participants will be grouped according to age and experience. Custom grouping is also available.
Rates: $100 14 years and under (maximum 5 students), $150 over14. Call to book.

Location Information
Accommodation available at Days Inn, 1305 - 9th St, Estevan. Fishing packages originate on the S end of the Rafferty Reservoir near Estevan or the N end of the Reservoir in Mainprize Regional Park.
