Canora's Welcome Statue was constructed in 1979 by Nicholas and Orest Lewchuk of Canora. The 7.6 m statue of "Lesia," dressed in traditional Ukrainian attire, and holding a loaf of braided bread (kolach) and salt, represents a welcome ceremony in Ukrainian culture. An 1897 Bloc Settlement cairn is also on site.
