The Churchill River - Nistowiak Falls Bucket List Expedition ​from Churchill River Canoe Outfitters (CRCO) is a 5-day beginner level trip that shows off the Churchill River canoe country at it’s best. View typical and towering Precambrian Shield rock walls, and Mountain, Drope, and Nistowiak Lakes along this intimate section of the Churchill. ​There are numerous highlights on this trip - the Holy Trinity Church at Stanley Mission, Saskatchewan's oldest building; an ancient pictograph site; and the main highlight of the trip - Nistowiak Falls on the Rapid River. This is undoubtedly Saskatchewan’s best known waterfall, dropping approximately 15 meters before joining the Churchill River on Nistowiak Lake. This trip starts and ends in the community of Stanley Mission, and The Nistowiak Falls Canoe Trip follows a popular route in the Lac La Ronge Provincial Park. The route is about 35 km long with 2 portages that are each approximately 30 meters in length. The trip includes return transportation between Stanley Mission and Missinipe, an overnight stay in CRCO's Paddlers Lodge on Day 1, expert guides, meals and snacks during the journey, and all canoeing, safety & cooking equipment.
