    Part of the Great Canadian Fossil Trail, the Ancient Echoes Interpretive Centre, located in Herschel, features displays, artifacts and videos showcasing Indigenous history. The Disappearance and Resurgence of the Buffalo, by Jo Cooper, is a permanent exhibit featuring eighteen paintings. An extensive taxidermy display is on site. By prior arrangement, guided walking tours on private land are available through the Coal Mine Ravine, or longer tours take in the Herschel petroglyphs, a turtle effigy, ceremonial circles, buffalo jump, and other sacred sites. 

    The Valley View Tea Room and Crafts, located in the Centre, features delicious home-baked goodies including their popular saskatoon berry pie as well as items for sale from local small businesses.
