The town of Morse was named in honour of the western superintendent of the CPR railroad. It is situated along Hwy 1, approximately 56 km east of Swift Current. Local attractions including the award-winning Morse Museum & Culture Centre, the Bird Viewing Tower overlooking Reed Lake and the CPR Dam Site. Camping is available from May long weekend to Thanksgiving weekend in October. Recreational facilities include playgrounds, a splash pad, two playgrounds, ball diamonds, picnic areas, an outdoor skating rink and a basketball and pickle ball pad. Joe's Restaurant serves Chinese and Canadian food, and Punjabi Dhaba Elkhorn Restaurant features an Indian and Canadian menu. Various businesses including Morse grocery store serve the community and visitors to the area.
