Stop what you’re doing and get some science in your Saturday. The Saskatchewan Science Centre and Kramer IMAX Theatre in Regina offer a full day’s worth of interactive, dynamic exhibits that will ignite the scientific curiosity of young and old alike. Ever-changing exhibits and daily programming will keep you entertained for hours and leave you pondering for days to come. 

The Kramer IMAX Theatre, attached to the Science Centre, is the largest movie screen and the only IMAX theatre in the province. Not to mention one of the few remaining 15/70mm theatres in the world. Experience the magic of cinema like never before where blockbusters and stunning documentaries come to life on an impressive, giant screen.

For a day filled with imagination, creativity, and hands-on learning, head to Nutrien Wonderhub in Saskatoon. This interactive children’s museum is the first and only of its kind in Saskatchewan and offers a wide range of exhibits and activities designed to inspire curiosity and exploration in kids of all ages. A Blast from the Past

Step back in time and explore Saskatchewan’s rich history at one of the many museums in the province. From stories of natural history dating back millennia, to more recent stories that have shaped our communities, these museums offer a glimpse into the past. Have some fun and learn along the way with a visit to one of these museums.

The Western Development Museum (WDM) has four locations across the province, each highlighting a unique aspect of Saskatchewan’s history. The WDM in Moose Jaw explores how transportation has evolved from planes, trains and automobiles. In Yorkton, the WDM dives into stories of immigrant pioneers who helped build our province into what it is today. WDM in North Battleford showcases early settlement on the prairies sharing stories of rural farm life. Saskatoon’s WDM immerses you in a bustling town of the early 1900s called Boomtown.

In Regina, The RCMP Heritage Centre offers a chance to explore over a century of Canada’s famous Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) history, while the Royal Saskatchewan Museum brings the provinces natural history to life. For those with a love for the natural world, the Museum of Natural Sciences in Saskatoon will take you on a journey of Earth’s history and how life has been evolving over billions of years. Don’t forget to visit the Lloydminster Museum + Archives where you can delve into local history, culture and art from both Saskatchewan and Alberta in this unique, bi-provincial city straddling the Saskatchewan-Alberta border.
