A Weekend Getaway

Sometimes, the best gift is an experience. Treat your loved one to a relaxing weekend getaway in one of Saskatchewan's provincial parks. Whether they’re looking to relax in a cozy cabin, enjoy time at a year-round resort, or experience the thrill of winter camping, Sask Parks has a place for them to stay.

With snowy landscapes and cozy firesides, a winter getaway is the perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The following parks are open for walk-in camping until March 16:

  • Blackstrap Provincial Park
  • Buffalo Pound Provincial Park
  • Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park
  • Danielson Provincial Park
  • Douglas Provincial Park
  • Echo Valley Provincial Park
  • Pike Lake Provincial Park
  • Rowan's Ravine Provincial Park

Reservations for these parks cannot be made online. Visitors should call the park beforehand to check for availability or to book a campsite.

Looking to make a reservation? Echo Valley Provincial Park also accepts online bookings until March 16, 2025. If camping isn’t their style, you can find cabins available online in Sask Parks during winter as well.

A Skate the Park Experience

Why not give the gift of an extended holiday? Take your family or friends to the launch of Skate the Park at Echo Valley Provincial Park on Boxing Day (weather dependent). With a 909-metre skating loop that winds through Aspen Campground, this is the perfect way to spend time together and make memories that last a lifetime. And after dark, the skating loop is lit up with fairy lights to guide the way, making it a truly magical experience.

Monday – Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Friday – 8:00 am – 7:00 p.m.

Saturday – 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Sunday – 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

While in the park, visitors can also play on the Ninja Warrior Course and zipline, check out the cross-country ski trails, rent a pair of snowshoes, browse the merchandise at the Visitor Centre, or book a Camp-Easy yurt.

Access to the skating loop and other park activities is included with a valid Park Entry Permit. 2024 Sask Parks Annual Park Entry Permits are valid until April 30, 2025. For those who don't have a permit, daily entry is $11 per vehicle. Purchase online or head to the Visitor Centre.
