This 37th annual cross-country skiing event showcases some of the most scenic trails of Lac La Ronge Provincial Park. The trails are groomed for both skate skiing and classic techniques. Race events of various distances range from 5 km, 8 km, 12 km, 20 km, 38 km and 56 km, as well as an overnight tour. Awards banquet and social activities. Fun for everyone.
You’ll find winter fun for the whole family at the 5th AnnualFire & Ice Winter Festival! Enjoysleighrides, cross-country skiing, snow sculpturing, winter games, jam session around the bonfire, fireworks and much more. And as the sun goes down, prepare for Melting Man! Food concession and beer gardens will be on site. Gates open at 12 noon, event wraps up at 11 p.m. Tickets available online. Check out the cabins at discovernesscreek.com.
Great Blue Heron Provincial Park
Experience winter by the lake. Join the Sask Parks staff and guests for a cross-country skiing and/or snowshoeing adventure along the trails at Anglin Lake in Great Blue Heron Provincial Park.
Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park
Stick it to winter with a fun day out at Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park. Join us for snowshoeing, building quinzees (weather permitting) and getting hands-on with some survival skills to better brave winter. Keep warm at our bonfire and enjoy hot chocolate and hotdogs throughout the afternoon. Winter Escape is free to attend with a valid park entry pass. Bring your Sask Parks annual park entry permit or purchase entry at the gate.
Duck Mountain Provincial Park
This event offers a wide variety of activities for all ages and interests. Both indoor and outdoor activities and "Learn-to" events will be offered. Winter Fun Day is free to attend with valid park entry. Bring your Sask Parks annual park entry permit or purchase entry at the Duck Mountain Provincial Park gate.
Saskatoon's SaskTel Centre to host the 49th edition of the JUNO Awards! Leading up to this celebration of Canadian musical artists and talent, enjoy a week-long festival of public and private activities including the JUNO Songwriters' Circle, JUNOfest, JUNO Fan Fare, JUNO Cup and much more.
Blackstrap Provincial Park

In partnership with the Thunder Creek Model Railroad Club, the Western Development Museum in Moose Jaw will host its annual Thunder Creek Model Train Show. Visit the variety of displays, from across the prairie provinces, set up throughout the museum. The attention to detail and scale of the layouts is astonishing. If you have an interest in model railroading or admire craftsmanship, you won't want to miss this show. Show runs 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. each day.
