Macklin World Bunnock Championship Challenge

Bunnock is a German-Russian traditional game played with actual horse ankle bones. In early August, the community of Macklin hosts The Macklin World Bunnock Championship Challenge. Activities for the weekend include the bunnock tournament with over $40,000 in prizes, sidewalk sales, craft show, children's rides, street and evening dances. Concession and beer gardens.

Poundmaker Performance Festival

Miyawata Culture Inc. presents the Poundmaker Performance Festival on Poundmaker Cree First Nation. This is an Indigenous performance festival but also a multicultural event that brings contemporary stories, performance and culture into the limelight.
