Wascana Centre is a 930-hectare urban park located in the heart of Regina. This beautifully landscaped park surrounds a scenic 120 hectare lake with water features. It is home to numerous walking and cycling trails, picnic/barbecue areas, unique play areas and a skateboard plaza, disc golf. Wascana Centre also numerous floral gardens and featured landscapes such as the Queen Elizabeth II Gardens. Other park amenities include natural habitat zones, public art and monuments, canoe, kayak and paddleboard rentals, ferry boat tours, self-guided walking tours and major Regina attractions. Winter activities include skating on the lake and cross-country skiing. Visit the visitor services kiosk, located in Wascana Place, during the summer months to see what Regina and Wascana Centre has to offer.
Enjoy eating at one of the restaurants located within the park. Bar Willow Eatery offers dining with a view of the lake, while Sky Cafe and Bistro is located within the Saskatchewan Science Centre. If you are enjoying the exhibits at the MacKenzie Art Gallery, stop by and have a bite to eat at Craft Services.
Willow Island, situated on Wascana Lake is an ideal location in summer for group picnics, weddings and barbecues; available by pre-booking.
