The former village of Alsask is located along Hwy 7 just inside the Alberta/Saskatchewan border. The community has a newly renovated indoor swimming pool, a recreation centre that features a tea house, bowling alley and event rental options, a post office on Main St and a gas station/restaurant located across from the intersection of Hwys 7 and 44.
From the early 1960s to the late 1980s, Alsask was a military facility.
